Britney had this big assignment at school just before summer holiday started about osha floor marking standards, and if she didn’t get good marks her father said she would be grounded the whole holiday. When Melanie heard this, she knew she had to help her friend one way or another. That afternoon Melanie tried to explain to Britney what is and how it works, but Britney did not understand a single word her friend was saying. Then Melanie remembered that at her father’s business, there are floor markings everywhere, so she took Britney to see her father at the company he owned. He was more than happy to help Britney, so he took her for a tour through the workplace, and he showed her all of the floor markings and what each of the markings meant. At the end of the day, Britney had a much better understanding of what osha floor marking standards are and why they are important.

When you are working in an organization, it is best that you know about the different communication styles of people. As a leader, you need to know what kind of communication style will work for your subjects. There are three different communication styles. These are: assertive, aggressive and passive. Assertive communication involves being frank and honest about the facts of a situation. Aggressive communication, on the other hand, involves bossy behavior. It is being manipulative and very demanding. Passive communication involves complacency. It is the communication style used by people who do not want to play an active role in the decision making process. There is also such a thing as the passive-aggressive communication style. This is a devious kind of communication style because it used by people with hidden agenda. They pretend that they do not care when actually they are trying to manipulate a situation. When dealing with different personalities, you need to know which communication style to use for you to get your desired result.
