However, in the art of Taekwondo and Wrestling your expected to listen and do what your told by your instructor or coach. MMA just doesn’t have this yet and I am not sure if it ever will but is a blending of the arts so have your kids start out in one of the traditional arts that MMA is comprised of so that they are taught the history and respect of the art and discipline. I also feel that if your child is training in MMA this takes away time from the team sports like basketball, soccer, and football which is very important for kids to learn how to behave on a team instead of as an individual. Instead of focusing on the me, me, and me attitude of MMA it is important in a team sport to focus on the other players on the team and do what is best for the team.
